Buds vs. Leaves — A Two-Part Tasting Series

Young buds get the praise. Mature leaves carry the story.

This series splits the tea world along a line most drinkers never notice: what part of the plant is in your cup.

Aug 9, 1pm, Session One: Buds. Green and black teas built on the youngest pick — precision, fragrance, tension. Teas that reward attention and punish distraction.

Sept 13, 1pm, Session Two: Leaves. White, pu'er, and oolong made from mature material — body, length, and the full weight of origin. Teas that were never trying to impress you quickly.

$40 per session, $70 for both sessions

I have my own loyalties here. I won't tell you which side. Taste both sessions and you'll probably guess — and probably form your own.

No experience needed. If you're new to tea, this is the cleanest entry point I can offer: two sessions, one question, your palate as the judge. If you're a serious taster, you already know this comparison is rarely done properly side by side.
